Cascades Casino Langley
The Fraser Valley's casino hotel: an attached 78-room hotel, the region's largest convention space and honest mid-market pricing.

A 1,100-seat theatre and a busy suburban gaming floor 30 minutes east of Vancouver — strong on live music, no rooms of its own.
Hard Rock Casino Vancouver, in Coquitlam, trades on two things: the brand and the theatre. The 1,100-seat Hard Rock Theatre is one of the better mid-sized live music rooms in the Lower Mainland, and it books consistently enough to make the property an entertainment destination rather than just a neighbourhood casino.
The gaming floor is mid-sized and busy, with about 1,000 slot machines and 70 table games. It serves the Tri-Cities and Fraser Valley market rather than tourists, which gives it a more local, less choreographed feel than River Rock or Parq — for some visitors that is the appeal.
The significant limitation is accommodation: there are no rooms on the property. Coquitlam hotels are a short drive away, and downtown Vancouver is 30 to 40 minutes by SkyTrain, but you cannot make this a stay-and-play property in the strict sense.

Roughly 1,000 slot machines across a single large floor and a high-limit area, with a good spread of denominations and a mix of current and classic titles. Maintenance and turnover are decent and the layout is easy to read.
About 70 table games cover blackjack, baccarat and mini-baccarat, roulette, craps, sic bo and pai gow, with minimums that are among the most reasonable in the Lower Mainland. The poker room runs regular cash games and tournaments with professional dealers and has a committed local following. A sports lounge shows major fixtures.
A high-limit gaming area covers the top end with dedicated service, though without the private-salon formality of the Vancouver and Richmond properties.
Figures are editorial estimates from publicly available information and change over time. Our casino games guide explains each game in detail.

There are no guest rooms at the casino. Several mid-range hotels sit within a few minutes' drive in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam, and downtown Vancouver hotels are reachable on the Millennium Line SkyTrain in around 35 minutes.
For visitors who want a room attached to a BC gaming floor, River Rock, Parq or Cascades Langley are the options. Hard Rock is an evening out, not a stay.

Five or so outlets including a steakhouse, a casual grill, a noodle bar and the obligatory rock-memorabilia bar. Standards are fine and prices are moderate, and the pre-show turnaround is handled efficiently on theatre nights.

The 1,100-seat theatre is the property's reason for being: touring rock, pop and comedy acts several times a month, in a room with good sightlines and better sound than most casino venues. Free lounge music runs most weekends.
Hours, dress standards and parking arrangements change seasonally. Confirm with the property before travelling.
Book it around a show. As a gaming floor it is solid and fairly priced; as a live music venue it is one of the best attached to any Canadian casino. Just plan your accommodation separately.
